What makes this different from your shared hosting?
Your site runs in its own container with 4 vCPU and 4 GB of RAM reserved for it rather than sharing a pool, backups run every six hours instead of daily, you get staging and cloning from the panel, and a CDN allowance is included. Shared hosting will happily run WordPress, but it gives you none of that.
How much traffic do the plans handle?
Solo is sized for 200,000 monthly visitors, Studio for 500,000 and Agency for 1,000,000. Each plan also includes a CDN allowance, 20 GB on Solo and Studio and 50 GB on Agency, which is pooled across every site on your account rather than allocated per site. If you are expecting more than that, talk to us before you order and we will size it properly.
Can I still install my own plugins and themes?
Yes. There is no plugin blocklist and no restricted theme list. You get full file access over SFTP and SSH, phpMyAdmin and your own database, exactly as you would on an unmanaged host.
How does staging work?
Clone your live site to a staging copy in one click, make your changes there, then push it back when you are happy. The clone includes files and database, so you are testing against real content rather than a blank install.
How often are backups taken and how long are they kept?
Automatically every six hours, stored off-site, and you can take an extra one on demand before a big change. Restore a whole site or an individual file yourself from the panel without raising a ticket.
Will you migrate my existing WordPress site?
Yes, free, on every plan. We import directly from cPanel and Plesk hosts, or move files and database manually from anywhere else. Send us your current host details and we will usually have it across the same day with minimal downtime.
Do I get email with my plan?
Yes. Mailboxes come with 10 GB each, plus webmail, forwarders, aliases, catch-all addresses and autoresponders. Inbound spam and virus filtering is included at no extra cost.
Is WooCommerce supported?
Yes. Redis object caching and OPcache are enabled by default, which is exactly what a busy WooCommerce store needs, and the reserved 4 GB of RAM per site gives checkout room to breathe under load.
What happens if my site is hacked?
Container isolation means a compromised site cannot reach the others on your account, so the problem stays where it started. Because backups run every six hours there is always a recent clean copy to go back to, and our UK team will help you restore it and work out how the site was got at in the first place.
Can I host client sites on one plan?
Yes. Studio and Agency are built for it, with five and fifteen sites respectively and enough headroom per site that a busy client site will not drag the others down. Each site is isolated in its own container, so a problem on one stays on one.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
Any time, from your account, with no downtime. We prorate the difference so you only pay for what you use, and you can move between managed WordPress and shared hosting in either direction.
